I Did It!
Once again, five minutes after posting i solve my own problem. Force was necessary. In a fit of insanity I took a flat screwdriver, jammed it into one side of the heatsink and pulled up. I heard some cracking (glue breaking not chips i think) Then suddenly BAM it came off! Boy that was a useless pei...

Video Card Heatsink Removal
I've got an ATI Rage Fury 32 meg video card, and now that i've overclocked, i;ve noticed it's overheating and crashing on certain games. I tried just slapping a pentium 1 heatsink on top of the original to cool it better. (see my picture album thingy) That worked, so i thought i would pull off the o...

My ordeal is at long last OVER!!
I'm FINALLY finished with overclocking! It's all done. Everything i wanted to do i have done. So, my final results and things i did to get there: Both CPU's are Celeron 400MHz, 66MHz FSB. 2.00Volt default Now they are 600MHz, 100MHz FSB, 2.2volts CPU Temp readings are 23 degrees C idle, upwards of 3...

On my box (2 400's at 600MHz with ATI rage fury 32meg) I can run pretty much any game made before 1998 on high settings at usually 800x600 or higher. Ie: Sin, Heretic 2, Unreal Tournament, Quake 2 (probably Q3, but i don;t have it yet) Also, it runs Daikatana, Duke Nukem MAnhattan project, and every...

Fan Speed Software Auto-contoller?
I've been playing with my fans wor a while now and found that when the CPU fans run at just slightly less than 100%, like 90-95%, the whole machine get a lot quieter. Because of this, i need to enlist the help of the online community in the search for a specific controller program. I've used SpeedFa...

I'm gonna sound stupid saying this: Windows NT based OS-s Adobe Acrobat I just had to comment about how much faster Windows XP works on 2 CPU's. Also, all of Adobe Acrobat loads super-fast. It's cool because Acrobat load WAY faster on my celeron 600 BP6 than it does on my Athlon 1300MHz system. ooh,...

WOW that is cool. I thought i had a lot of fans with 5 of them! But - you should try round IDE ribbon cables (or making them round yourself) And Maybe different CPU heatsinks would benefeit you. Those ones look mighty small... Also, you might want to spread out those expansion cards. If it were me, ...

oops multi-post
sorry for multi-posting.
One side effect of overclocking seems to be my network adapter (Intel PRO/100+ management adapter) slows down and sort of half-freezes for a minute or two after a long uptime. weird...

my results
Both my Celeron 400's are at 600 MHz with 100MHz FSB. Both are running on 2.2 volts and idle between 22-25 celsius. Runs 99.9 % stable! HOORAY! I even did the 1/1 AGP thing which makes a tiny difference in video speed. When the CPU's are in use, they go up to about 33 celsius but still runs fine. * ...

I need some CPU helps quick!
Okay, I;ve got myself a BP6 running dual Celeron 400s. I'm looking to get something faster for cheap, and have found a Celeron 800 MHz. I haven't bought it yet, and i am wondering if it would even work at all. I've gone through a lot of the forums here, but not found an actual yes or no. So could so...
