I just got a RX8. I can't get the smile off my face. This is the most powerfull car I have ever had. This car will out excelerate, corner and brake my 85 RX7 racecar (SCCA ITS). I'm going to hold on the team name for now. The transition page says something about transfering the SETI Classic groups to the BOINC stats page. If that is the case, I will be out of a job as admin ot the BOINC Beta group.

Awhile ago, when we started the BOINC Team, Derek suggested we change the team name. They have now made it possible to do this. Derek suggested BP6.COM Users Group (I believe). I'm thinking Team BP6.COM. Any other suggestions? Derek, what do you think.

I would guess the best answer is to go to the message board and see if the problem has been reported or if the project admins already know about the problem.

Remember, this is a Beta test of the software. Bugs will be found and corrected. By running the software you are helping the debug process. If you are looking just at the stats, forget it. The stats generated are for nothing. All the stats will reset to zero when Boinc goes live.

I just had a brain fart. Rather than buying hard drives for each machine, buy the 64/128 meg usb ram drives. Access time (w/ usb 2.0) would be faster than a hd. Yes the cost for such a machine would be lower initially, but how much would you spend on electricity in the long run. Not just to run the machine, also to cool the house in the summer. In the winter you could just leave the windows open.
