the keyboards & mice have all been ps2. i have swapped out a couple of different keyborads and even tried a usb mouse with a ps2 adapter on the kvm with the same result. unless i connect the keyboard & mouse directly, the computer will shut right down.

i recently retired my bp6 server running an sql platform and wanted to use it in my home as a file server along with my home pc. i configured the two pc's with a kvm switch, however, when use the mouse or make a few keyboard strokes the bp6 box shuts right off. any suggestions or comments regarding ...

i re-flashed the bios without being able to get back in and check the bios settings and viola, it worked.

no i had not tried to flash it again with an older version. im just not sure if i should attempt a re-flash of the bios without being able to get back in and confirm the video & cpu cache are still disabled.

i guess it wont make it any worse than it is?

thans for the reply guys. i tried holding down the insert and that didnt help. i placed and isa card in that now allows me to boot. however; i cant not get back into the bios. after some thought, i beleive i forgot to disable the video cache during the initial flash, so i dont know what the severity...

hi all, i followed the instructions to update my bios with ru edition before loading w2k and something must have gone fatally wrong. the power will come on but the system is dead. everything seem to go perfect while flashing the bios, i hit f1 and nothing. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx.
