thx, now it boots from the scsi controller. i dont know why it didnt work the first time. but now i have a problem with my kernel and the boot partition. i hope i can fix it. soon i will post some pics of my 2 80mm fans on top of my cpus :)

i've got some problems to boot from my scsi drive , ext and scsi is set in bios . but it doesnt boot from it. i have an adaptec 2940 u/uw controller.

how fast can the hpt366 controller get?
i need a faster way to use my hdd speed. actually my hdd is on ide0,
i cant use ide 2-3 and i cant boot with them.
do i need a ultra 133 bootable pci controller?

Bios doesnt recognize my hdd and cd drive

i bought a bp6 with 2 533mhz celerons. so now i have an 120gb wd hd an master and a cd drive on slave both on ide3 (udma66), but they werent recognize from the bios. i need help , wanna install gentoo today.

i will post my results of my gentoo installation with the confs purrkur has had posted soon. and i will run rrdtool as well as on my xbox to monitor my dual cpus etc.

ok,can i boot from the HPT366 controller?
i dont wanna use such a new hd with 7200 and 8mb cache . my dual will run as an router or something similar. i hope my 230watt pwer supply will work fine.

what kind of power supply do i need

i wanna run the bp6 with 2 cpus passiv cooled , 2 * 256mb sdram pc 133, 2 nics and one hdd 60gb.
is 300 watt enough?
maybe i put 2 cooler on the cpus.
