BP6 as a website server?
Anyone running a BP6 to host a website? Or more than 1 website? Post your details here, as in what operating system, CPUs, memory, video card, hard drives, special server software, etc, that you are using. I'm doing nothing fancy, just a simple website to host something on the BP6, just something to...

Removing the overclock helped. I had the 533 Celerons running at 600 (8X75 FSB), and MBM 4.18 wouldn't stay on the screen for more than 10 minutes. I'd set it, go in the other room for a bit, come back and check, and I'd have to reopen it. :x So I tried pulling the CMOS battery and resetting the cle...

The power supply fan is running good. I have MBM 4.18 installed on this system because it'll monitor dual CPUs. I noticed that the CPU temps were up about 3 degrees Celsius each. And the case temp was up about 4 degrees. That's the first unusual thing. Here's the voltages it gives me on the UP/DOWN ...

My recapped BP6 locks up!
I recently recapped my BP6 motherboard with the Jackcon caps I got way back in April or something like that. I replaced EVERY capacitor on the board, all with new Jackcon caps. Here's the problem. It will now lock up sometimes, and the only way out it is to hit the reset button and start over. I can...

I've never had a chance to overclock any high end Intel CPUs. But my current main system is an Abit NF-7 V.2.0 motherboard with a 2500 unlocked multiplier Barton processor. Stock, it runs at 1.83 Ghz, but I've had it at 2.2 (11X200) for about a year now with no problems. And it's been doing 100% loa...

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes, I just now saw this topic for the first time. I haven't been in this forum much lately, until last week when I was doing more research for my BP6. There's a BP6 in the webshows? Where? I don't remember. It may have gotten into a shot somewhere. The compute...

Here's a new (old actually) one that isn't on the list yet - a Visiontek NVD01.0 16 MB video card. I got one at a computer show recently. It plugged in and worked easily with Windows 2000 and drivers I downloaded from the internet. I haven't tried to play any high bit rate high motion videos yet, bu...

I see we've got a few people here who are real tightasses about the whole wireless security thing. Yes, TECHNICALLY you shouldn't access someone else's network without permission. But most people don't seem to care. I've driven around in my area, through several housing developments and small towns ...

My HPT366 is a 1.22 version. I set the hard drive to cable select on the jumper, blue plug in IDE3, black plug in the hard drive, Went in the BIOS and set the boot sequemce to EXT / C / A (this computer has only one hard drive, no floppy or CD drive). And I changed the "EXT means..." option to UDMA6...

I'll go back into the BP6 and try again. I hadn't changed the boot sequence to start with EXT, or the UDMA66 thing, wherever that is. Or the cable select jumper on the hard drive. This BP6 has the RU BIOS and a 1.21 or 1.22 HPT366. I'll have to look at it on the next boot up. I'm looking to max out ...

Problems with IDE 3&4 ports for ATA 66.
I've been running my BP6 on the IDE1 port for about 4-1/2 months now. With a 40 conductor cable and a 6.4 GB 5400 rpm ST36421A hard drive ( Seagate ). I found out that this hard drive supports ATA 66 speeds, and the IDE 1&2 ports are only for ATA 33 speeds. So I went and got an 80 conductor cable an...

No, I never paid anything, they just sent the capacitors based on that one email where I listed specific sizes of caps. I wasn't even expecting to get it. After I read the email saying it'd cost something like $70, I just said "forget it" and didn't email them anymore. But they sent the package, so ...

Got a package from Taiwan (Jackcon) today.
A couple weeks ago, I emailed Jackcon in Taiwan and asked about getting replacement capacitors for my BP6. They emailed back and said it'd cost something like $70 with shipping, so I forgot about it. I had sent an email to badcaps.net yesterday to see about custom ordering a cap kit, and today the m...

What do you do with your BP6?
Here's a topic that I hope a lot of people will post to. Tell us what you actually USE your BP6 for, and give a list of your specs. And maybe a photo. I use my BP6 for folding@home processing for Stanford University. I have 2 533 Celerons overclocked to 600 Mhz (8 * 75 FSB) running at 100% load, eac...
