Re: DPMS causing problems, how do I correct?
Since my last format & reload I have been having problems with DPMS mode. I will be working along in or on a graphics intensive program, cpu's at or over 75%, minimum ram usage (say, 120meg max, 1gig available) and with no warning, I'm in either DPMS off or standby and I can't reactivate (black scr...

Re: BP6 not working quite right... only POSTs with 1 PPGA pr
Hi all, I picked up a BP6 at a surplus store the other day; it was untested and sold as-is. I also picked up two 466MHz PPGA Celerons so I wouldn't have to take the two I already have out of running systems. Anyhow, the CPUs are the same S-Spec (SL3EH) and both work fine in boards other than the BP...

Re: 2000 Pro Vs 2000 Server?
Please forgive me if I put this in the wrong forum, just was not sure as to where to put a "general" question about OS'S. Is there any advantage (stability wise) in running 2000 Server version over 2000 Pro? regards, jaybird there shoudn't be...but 2000 server is (as it's name says) a server editio...

Re: bp6+nec pci usb2.0+d-link 7port usb hub+creative SBMP3+=
I am using devices desribed above :) WinXP sp2, cel 466MHz * 2. When SB is connected directly to the nec pci card, CPU load is about 15-20 percents when playing winamp. When SB is connected as described above (including the hub), CPU load is 45-50 percents (on both processors). All the drivers are ...

What about the ram. It needs to be at least PC-100 and if it is cheap it should be set to CL=3 and no matter how good it is it should be EEC=off. You can try that memtest86+ program that someone posted recently. I would 1) test the ram 2) if ram is ok then pull everything but the AGP card and HD th...

Kilk, The 366s dont have to be matched to work togeather...in fact you can mix diff speed cpus like 366 and 400 or 533 or whatever. I plan to test my board with a 366 and a 500 someday...proly in my next life cause this one is WAAAAY to busy. :( Anyway... Windows doesn't like 92FSB but works on 75....

note that C3 Smauel2 proc: - works on 1,6/1,65V; - has buss speed of 100/133 (can work on 66 also, but don't forget that BP6 works as high as 112MHz bus speed); - it is available up to 800MHz core speed (best would be 800/100); - it has 192KB L2 cache compared to 128KB L2 on Celerons; - has lower he...

some sites i found on the net:
http://www.badcaps.net/
http://www.motherboardrepair.com/
