Sorry, 533's are the WORST over-clocking Celerons made! Reason, the high multiplier! 366's are king on this board for over-all performance. Why? look at FSB (100 or above) on overclocked speed (550 and above) STABLE! This macine is presently @ 572 or (583 but not while on the internet). I have tried...

headed to warp 9 (I hope)
Just got my "new" 1100E from "down-under" and I flashed my BIOS to the BP6RV128.BIN version a few minutes ago. I now have a working pair of 1100E's again :) ! V1.0, Rev. .40 board has all required changes except for wiring on back side of ZIF sockets. I have been testing this BIOS/board combination ...

Johnny 5's older brother back from the dead!
I'm back to the original V 1.0 R .40 board that ran my dual 1100E's! Re-did EC10 cap and BOOM! This board seems more stable that the R .41 and can over-clock just a tad bit more. However, it does seem to run a little bit warmer, case 109 deg f, other board 102 deg f, cpu's 113 & 107 deg f, other boa...

back from the dead!
I am posting this from my original R .40 V 1.0 BP6 board (yeah, the same one that ran dual 1100E's for 4 years!). I removed and re-installed a 1500uf 6.3 volt cap on the EC10 and BAM! Johnny 5's older brother is a live! At present I am running the same dual 366's from the "other (R .41)" board @ 572...

Must say after all this time and posted emails people who want to gain stability for overclocked BP6 ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION! That said, please take it from someone who has MANY years with this board and overclocking, yes, grennie+Arctic Silver is better, greenie+Arctic Silver and fan is even bette...

Finally got things straight! Turned out to be the "old" drive (20 gig wd), the one that was shorted out Via the "plastic" wire (what ever the he-- it was) finally failed. Installed new 40 gig SeaGate on IDE 3, hppt366, 1.22 BIOS, 128b drivers and away we go! OBTW, just found a 1.1 (1100E) in AUS, wi...

win2k and new hdd conflict
Nope, won't even let me get into safe mode with drive connected through any ide port while trying to access win2k! Here is what I see on the screen when trying to get into safe mode: multi (0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)winnt\system32\drivers\iomdisk.sys This is where it hangs, hdd light on solid and...

As long as I have your "ear" ---
I am having a problem installing my Seagate 40 gig drive in a win2k system. I want my "new" Seagate 40 gig ata 7200 rpm drive to provide extra storage (slaved off the main 20 gig WD drive). Now, this is strange but, slaved or set up as a single drive on a single channel, when I try to boot into win2...

Well, lets' see, biggest reason it was on sale and was still twice the size of my original 20 gig WD unit. I use two drives, 20 gig for dual OS's and 60 gig for video editing and strorage. I was thinking about taking it back, however, I could slave it off the 20 gig and use it just for capture and t...

just when you think you have seen it all --
About a week ago it seemed as if I had a hdd on the way out, random reboots, freezes, clicking from the drive, while in boot-up and in hppt screen would not see second drive and go to "boot disk failure, inset system boot disk", etc. So I went to compUSA, bought a new 40gig drive and prepared to ins...

The only reason I went to a Chaintek 7.1 card was because of the issues I was having with drivers from Creative and the fact that they will not support win2k and 5.1. (plus it was only $29.95 USD!) OBTW, sound QUALITY is MUCH better than my SBLive Platinum 5.1, I hear things that I never heard on th...

Kinda doubt it on the 400's although you might get lucky! I'm writting this on a modified BP6 (EC10, VVT, cut traces, changed out regulators, etc.) with the largest coolers that fit on the board (GlobalWIN FEP32's) as well as a Peltier on the BX. I've run matched and lapped sets of: 366's, 400's, 43...

Hi Jordan! I have an extensive back ground with the BP6 and PIII's. That said, how far do you want to go, how much work are you willing to do and how many "head aches" are you willing to put up with! I did have one board that went dual 1100E's @ 110 FSB for four years! Moded NEO370's, EC 10 mod, VVT...

questions on PIII conversion
Well, you may have hit "the luck of the draw", or as I choose to call it "the wall" ,I know, I have on a number of BP6's. It just simply won't work! Other things to do and/or look at: Power suplies; I added a second PS (parallel, see this web site) and I went from 100FSB stable to 104, small but it ...

new info
This may be of some interest, based on info from this website plus the proccess of elimination (plus "docmemory" software) I have traced at least a part of my random lock-ups and re-boots to a possible bad memory module. I ran the tests (which are dos related) at 100 mhz fsb, 104 fsb, 106, 108, and ...
