We need to create "SETIOS" or a specialised slimmed down Linux distro. :) Im sure that wouldnt be too hard, slackware live is only 193mb and that has Xwindows and KDE installed. Oh and just rememberd there is zipslack as well. You could even run it off a cd, and have seti installed on the hard disk...

I used to use IDE raid a few years ago and a little bit more recently, 2x 4gb in a strip as my boot drive, then more recently 2x 8gb in a strip, and also mirrored for a while when I was doing important Uni. work. When striped it was quicker than just a single drive, but it also let you do more, e.g....

The "unread posts" figure always shows up with two more posts that I have actually not read. This happens on any browser, on any PC. I have tried logging out and clicking on "mark all read" but to no avail. Has anyone else seen this? I did have this problem, on the index page the unread post count ...
