Billl: Yep, of course it becomes a Windows problem now doesn't it if Windows uses the information supplied by BIOS to configure the size of the hard drives now doesn't it? ;) This issue doesn't affect Linux because Linux doesn't care about BIOS values after it has booted up. Well, it could be a Lin...

You have to have a recent version of windows. I know on XP you must have SP1 or it only shows as 131GB. This is a problem with window...

The multiplier is irrelevant. You would need one that went to 10.5 which obviously your BP6 doesn't do. Fortunately for you Intel locks the multiplier so you dont need to set it. Just set your system to 66MHZ bus and the multiplier to the highest setting you can get probably 8? and the CPU will sort...

you haven't mentioned what your indicated VTT voltage is ... at 66fsb, 1.80 or 1.85 v is enough at 75fsb, probably need 2.00 - 2.10 and hard cooling. Why would you want to under volt the cores? As I recall those called for 2.0 as default? Under volting sure isn't going to help his stability problem...

My NetGear MR814 allows you to assign MAC addresses to specific IP's which pretty much eliminates anyone hacking in. Assuming of course you limit the number of address to the number of machines you actually have! DHCP is fine as long as you take these precautions. If you want total security I sugges...

i use seti hide i've noticed problems lately as well but i keep about 30=99 wu's cached so i won't run out for awhile :P Your probably keeping too many on hand given your usual output. If you keep too many and you don't send them back soon enough your wasting your time even crunching them. After so...

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be ab...

oh by the way when you use caching clients like setique or setidrive, do they crunch the oldest WUs first? it should be logical, but who knows how they do that... Yes they do crunch oldest first. My question is how big should the cashe be? Some of my machines I have as much as 10 days others I have...
