reading Celeron production codes

I have just purchased 2, 366 Celerons and I don't remember and can't find my information on how to read Celeron production codes. Can anyone help me out here? Just trying to figure out how closely "related" they are  CPU #1: B80524P366 128 SL35S MALAY L9140662-1261 '98 CPU #2 B80524P366 128 SL...

PNY GeForce FX5500

My G400 dual hd 32 meg card died and I needed dual head functionality, the PNY card (FX5500 128 meg) was on sale at CompUSA for $79.00 USD so I grabbed one! It's ok, but DO NOT use the latest driver release! (77.xxx) use 71.xxx or 72.xxx(I'm using 72.xxx). 77.XXX is buggier than cow dung that has be...

PIII BP6 mod pics

Sorry it took so long but the "honey do" lists came first  It ain't pretty but it worked for 2 1/2 years! There are a total of 8 pics (I believe you can view them through my personal bio?): 1. basic shot of the board with 1 heatsink, NEO & PIII installed 2. close-up, HS and "U" clip extender(m...

PIII's & BP6

Welcome aboard! The best thing you can do to increase stability and possibly hit 124 is to use active cooling on the BX. Until a couple of weeks ago I had been running a BP6 with 2, PIII 1100E's (1100/100/256/1.75V) @ 110 FSB for several years. Alas, my BP6 passed away 2 weeks ago :( , Long live the...

It may sound like a lot of work but the actual mods on the board took only part of one evening and I am no "PRO" at soldering, believe me! As for the end results, I am also runninig a Gigabyte dual PIII server mobo with the same PIII's on it, guess which board is faster, it ain't the Gigabyte! (BX V...

I have NEVER heard of anyone getting the PB6 to 124 dual, let alone 133! Let me share with you my successes with this board. The first BP6 of mine is still running, it is a version 1 board, I have done the single cap mod and changed out the voltage reulator as recommended per this site. I have re-wi...

The oil that is being used does not conduct electricity. Most large transformers are filled with oil as are large electrical breakers (28.8KV and up, I used to work in a very large electrical generating plant, everything was filled with oil!). Somewhere in the dim distant past, I recall a BP6...

Do yourself a BIG favor, goto ebay, search for "mini-peltier", spend $4 to $5 USD, after you put Arctic Silver under "greenie", tie device to "greenie" with a plastic cable tie and watch your BX cool way down! I have actually seen on start-up, a drop of 20 Deg. F! My BX runs at between 85 Deg. F and...

Well it looks like my Gigabyte box is down for a while. System crashed caused by constant conflicts between VIA chipset, Matrox drivers, Creative SBLive 5.1 drivers and Windoz 2000 Pro. These are PIII 1100E socket 370, 1100/256/100/1.75volt. Stable @ 112 fsb, idle @ 98 deg. F, full load about 128 deg. F, Via Apollo Pro has a mini-peltier and runs at 79 to 85 deg. F @ idle and no more than 102 deg. F under full load. My next FSB jump is to 124 and I don't think these cpu's will make...

No, its' an option in the BIOS designed into the BIOS by Gigabyte.

I can set cpu's to 100/100 or 100/133 or I have set clock speeds (cpu's and fsb) of 100, 112, 124, or 133 mhz.

I am presently at 112 mhz for both cpu's and fsb.

which is the most efficient way to run my dual PIII mobo?

I have a none BP6 dual mobo (shame! ) with dual PIII's. This board also is running dual PIII 1100E's just like my BP6. However, it has an option (Gigabyte GA-6XTDR) that will allow me to run the CPU's @ their normal clock speed (100 mhz) and set the FSB to 133 (I have a gig of PC133, 4 256 me...

overclocking 433's

Just a little "teaser", if you will. 433's have a clock multiplier of 6.5, the "best" that the BP6 will do, stable, is 110 mhz fsb. So, this gives us a "possible" 6.5 X 110 = 721.666. OBTW, this has been done with "active" cooling, large heat sinks, Peltiers, water bolcks, etc. I am in the process o...
