How to reactivate WinXP?!

recently I got some WinXP from the firm I was working in...they have upgraded to Vista, so the signed of the WinXP & I took 2 of those... now I would want to reactivate my WinXP, so that I don't have problems with WGA anymore (I don't have the WGA problem now, but I don't want to have it in the futu...

might be the bad socket...might be BAD CAPACITORS...not sure for the BIOS though!

I want my dos 6.1 sound drivers for win98se so i can play my old games cries i just finished my latest project: a SLOT1 board with Celeron 333, 64MB SDRAM, 170MB HDD for DOS & 10GB HDD for games...also with some ATi graphic card with addon memory with Voodoo1 for glide, and for sound i have SB16......

use the program for flashing, you can find it on this web page... select the BIOS you want to use...put them both in same directory! then put them on the floppy or HDD that can be read under DOS... boot in DOS, go the dfirectory with flashing program and BIOS...type the name of the flashing program,...

KliK, Did you come up with an acceptable solution? It sounds like you are requiring a single partition drive that is over 137GIG. I know its not the first choice, but maybe consider the network card moving to ISA on the end of the board freeing a PCI slot. only that i have to partition the drive be...

that is an article from my mom or it could be!! c'mon guys...OK, maybe the final Vista will be better, faster and with more drivers...but the guy hardly spoke about HDD consumption of swap file, consumption of RAM, how much the graphic card battled with the (we know now!) "nice" Aero... lets be tech...

also, you installed over 60+ paches for the WinXP!! of course it crashes... :D

maybe you should stick with SP2 first, and then install only 20 or even 10 paches per boot!! might take some time, but it will get you to the end!

I know...the recomendation for WinXP is 256MB RAM...minimum of 128MB (althouh it works on less!)...

but it really works great on 512MB RAM or more!!

f. word for the Windows Vista and the 1GB RAM issue...they did that with the Win 2000/XP, when 256 was normal RAM... and the Win NT worked with 64MB nice...Win 98 with 16MB...Win ME with 16/32MB... i'm sticking with the old one WinXP....work fine with 512MB and everything is fast, even on the BP6......

just did it, and now there are no blue screens...no halts in the system...no crashes...no frozing...

works great!!
