I agree that a new graphics card would be the best choice.

Then more memory and maybe more HD space, but only if its getting low.

Hi, Ive had similar problems with my machine, but I put the problem down to heat.

The graphics would crash and it locked the machine up localy, but if you sshed into the machine it was still running. If you killed the X11 process it didnt help, the only way to fix it was a reboot.

They might overclock better after theyve been run for a while. My 500's used to strugle posting at 600, but will now post at silly speeds.

eek rather small. Couldnt you just solder three wires on to do the trial and error, that way you only solder the board two times max. Once to put the wires on, then once to put the final transistor on. Then just attach each transistor to the wires and try it. If I ever manage to break my fan headers...

It was a false alarm.

They did find some interesting signals, but didn’t know if they were noise or computing errors or not. The press blew it out of all proportion though.

The only time Ive seen this happen is when one cpu cant cope with the overclock and the machine just boots with the one that does work at that speed. Try playing with the voltages for the cpus. If its doing it when not overclocked, running at 66mhz, then maybe you broke one? Try them one at a time i...

Happy Brithday to the Internet.

I have a little story to tell.
35 years ago today the internet was born.
6 years ago (not on the same day though) BP6.com was born.
They both lived happily ever after.
The end.
