"FLASH!" PIII @ 124FSB!
I'm at 124FSB!(sort of). Just for "grins" I just tried 124FSB and she's up and runnin! However, my G400 won't take that FSB at all. The only way I could tell it was running at 124 was to go in through the network using another PC and access the BP6 from there. I could access files and programs but d...

PIII 1100 up-date
The last entry I made was about a week ago. At that time I had just gone to a FSB of 108 with my single PIII. I have now made the jump to 110 and all seems to be ok(so far!).
My next change will be to tweak the BX chip set with WBXtune and WPCRSET.

overclocking 366's
Don't forget to actively cool the BX chip set. It made all the difference in the world for my 366's! I took the "greeie" heat sink off, added arctic silver and an old 486 cooling fan(held in place with a zip tie!) and my "unstable 366's @ 550" went to 571 and after burn-in went to 594 and stayed the...

VHS to CD
If you are still interested, the hardware you have is just fine. However, if you want quality copy you should consider(IMHO) using VirtualDUB(freeware) as your capture and conversion software(VHS to computer), and TMPGEnc(freeware version) to convert to VCD format to DC-ROM. You can use NERO(freewar...

Up-date!
Just a little up-date, am now at 108 fsb with no problems. Seems as if these P3's react a lot like the old celeries, the longer you run them at a certain fsb the easier it is to get them to go faster! The next step is to tweak the BX chip set with WBXtune and CPU CREDIT OBTW, does anyone have an old...

single 1100 P3 at 106 fsb
I have a version 1.1 board that has previously had 2 366's @ 605, air cooled. I am now running this board with 1, 1100 P3 @ 106 fsb. I have started the dual conversion by modifying the 2 NEO's (cut trace), added the wires to the sockets on the board and completed the EC10 modification. With both 110...

who's dual at 1100 ?
I would like to know exactly who is dual with 1100mhz, 100mhz fsb PIII's, what rev board and what mods were required to get there! I am dual PIII's with 850's and NEO's on one board with no other mods except cut trace and wire added to cpu sockets. On second board I have moded NEO's (cut trace), add...

NEO mods
Correct, it does show the NEO mods required, however, it doesn't give you "the rest of the story". You will need to make the voltage regulator modifications as well as changing C10. I know, I tried without the voltage regulator mods and can only get 1, 1100E PIII up and running on this board. On ano...

Don't want to throw water on your "fire" but doing just the NEO's in most cases doesn't cut it. I'v done that and no-go on one of my boards, I then did the "CAP" upgrade (EC10, I believe) and no-go also, now I'll do the voltage regulator+cap upgrade. I am using 2 modified NEO's and 2 PIII 1100E's (1...

I just got a "driver and application update" CD from Creative and EVERYTHING is now working fine in WIN2K.
Cost me $2.95 for shipping and handling, took a week to get.

SBLive Platinum (Original) won't load from CD in WIN2K
I have been using a SBLive Platinum on my BP6 for several years now with no problems (98SE/NT4.0 dual-boot). However, I just upgraded to Win 2000 Pro (98SE/WIN2K Pro dual-boot) and I cannot load ANYTHING from my Creative CD's. I get as far as the first splash screen, tell it to load SBLive (thats al...

win2k installed and running on IDE, not HPT366!
I now have WIN2K/98SE dualboot but only on the IDE controller. I have installed(correctly?, unsure)a win2k device driver (BETA 3) from this website. HPT366 driver installation
Ok, it seems that I can just simply do an "upgrade" to win2k and it should work. However, when attempting to upgrade I get a message that my ATA66 HPT366 controller will not work with this version of windows. I guess that the NT drivers are not compatable with win2k? I have downloaded the win2k driv...

remove nt
Great! But I forgot to mention one thing, I want to replace NT with 2000 Pro and maintain dualboot.
Will I still do the same thing and then just install 2000 Pro?

How do I uninstall WINNT4.0 from a dual-boot system?
I have WIN98SE and NT4.0SP6 on my BP6 and I want to uninstall NT without disturbing my 98 OS and it's programs, can this be done? PIII no-boot in second socket
The information I have from Abit suggests that this condition (boot only from one socket) is normal!
I'll see if I can find it and forward it to you.
Good luck!

RRLeadford, Help! PIII mod foul-up or maybe not complete?
This is my second BP6 modded board. However, the first one went much better than this one! On the first board I modded the NEO's(100mhz PIII 850's), added the 2 wires to the sockets on the back side of the board., changed the EC10 cap and away we went(no voltage regulator mod)! Not so good on this o...
