thats not a hub puller...

don't look like it anyhow..

most i've used had 4 legs..

and a slider bar...

Hi, it is a hub/gear puller, some do have sliders as you mentioned in order to shock things apart, like a slide hammer.

3 legged ones are fairly common place, somewhere I do have one very similar to the one used here.... I will try to attach an image of one for reference....
