that would be sooooooo typical that you won't listen to someone who
knows what he is talking about.
well, after that, I wrote him and said "send the check" and posted this up.eBay Seller wrote:Buy this motherboard and see if it is not raid I will refund your money

Hi,
I believe you have made a slight error when advertising this product. The board in question, Abit BP6, does not have raid, and was never made with raid.
The board does however have an extra IDE controller with ata66 capabilities allowing people to get better transfer speeds than using the BX chipset that the board uses. The extra controller uses a Highpoint HPT360 chipset, which is not a raid chipset. This explains the extra two IDE headers on the motherboard, which happen to be the white ones.
I feel it is unfair to advertise the board as having raid when it does not.

David Baker
Dave Rave wrote:man, you got to do more research.
4 ide ports does NOT equal Raid.
the KA7 is not a Slot 1 board,
it's Slot A
it has 4 ide ports, like the BP6, but NOT raid.
If you keep this up, maybe eBay should be told you aren't that good a
seller and should be revoked
eBay Seller wrote:You are definitely wrong there mate the ka7 is definitely a slot 1.
I know the difference between a slot 1 and slot a .
he's only been eBay registered since FebDave Rave wrote:are you going to quit while you are so far behind or make yourself look worse ?
how can you tell a slot from a slot ?

you already owe me a free bp6
Right. So he's selling a computer component on eBay. I suppose that means he's in the computer industry. Loosely. Well sort of. If you think about it in a certain way. But don't think too hard about the definitions of "computer" and "industry". Or about anything else for that matter.eBay Seller wrote:I have a board that is a bp6 with 4 ide connections on it which is raid and I am in the computer industry.

Have you sent him a link to this place yet?
Tell him to come on IRC and we can all lay in to him.
