ah, second post... you can tell im a car person.
I've got a '75 poniac astre (vega) with a 305, th350, and narrowed rear end.2.67 gears. it does 55mph in first gear...
And an '86 suzuki samurai with a spoa lift, 31's, welded rear end. puny 1.3l 60hp motor, but it'll go anywhere in the bush.
i dont have enough free time anymore... college will do that.

I forgot about another car... it's oficially my dads, but we did the motor swap together and i can drive it whenever i want to put gas in it.
It's a 1987 rx-7 with a chev 305cid (didnt have a 350 laying around). it got some vortec heads, a new cam, and some hedman hedders. It would have an aluminum intake if there was another 1/2 inch of hood clearance.
the whole idea is it looks completely stock, when the motor's not running nobody can tell. It's not as fast as it could be, but i beat a new mustang gt at the track. Not bad for having $2000 invested

mazda, astre, and samurai folders have pics. ignore the datsun in the mazda folder... i sold it

WTF?! you turned a turbo wankel into a banger?!
didn't you just defeat the whole purpose of getting an rx-7?

I dont know what the purpose of an rx7 is exactly, but now it goes way faster, right away. theres no waiting for the power to happen. only downside is it understeers a little. The motor was shot to begin with, its not like we pulled a good rotary out
it was non turbo too

I just got a RX8. I can't get the smile off my face. This is the most powerfull car I have ever had. This car will out excelerate, corner and brake my 85 RX7 racecar (SCCA ITS). Redline is 9k rpm and the revlimiter kicks in @ 9.5K. Now I have to get some track time with this car.
I like overclocking computers, I love overclocking cars.

I had a 280zx. nonturbo. It would out stop anything. 24seven could outrun it though(on his bike). I loved it anyway.

It's capable of handling 5.1 DTS audio, which sounds incredible. I'll install a screen one of these days, but for now this suits me well.[/img]
