Post by bluliz »

i have set my voltages on my bp6 cpus to 1.9 and this is result in the bios.

cpu 1 is fine at 1.88 but cpu2 it very odd.

the same 3.05v happens when the default voltage is selected, or any other voltage.

the cpu temp on cpu1 currently is 36c and cpu2 is 37c

the caps are perfect, but could 1 be on the way out? or do i not need to worry about a thing.

It’s down erm, hard to explain, between two groups of caps on the left hand side of the board about half way down, labeled "RT2"

With out opening my machine or having a pic that’s the best I can describe.

bluliz,
temp looks ok on cpu2. vcore would have probably fried it if it was really at 3volts.

pull one processor and check with just one. try the allegadly over-volted cpu in the other socket and see what happens. DONT try the cood cpu in the bad socket though unless you are willing to lose it.

on the topic of sensors...MBM shows my
vcore1=1.8v(correctly).
vcore2=1.5v and there is nothing displayed as VTT. am i doing something wrong.
There are *almost* no bad BP6s. There are mostly bad caps.

well it still works fine, so its not cooked,

oh well i can fiddle about with a pair of lapped 533s, dont matter if i cook them cause they wont overclock to more than 550,

yeah only version 4.1.8 or something of mbm works properly with dual cpu.

the vcore2 acctually show your vtt.

i will let you know how it goes

thanks for the response on the MBM thing for me.
I know the 533s dont oc 'cause my 500s wouldnt even go to 75FSB. I encountered someone that claims he has a running BP6 with dual 400@700.
Oh, try not to fry the 533s, there may be someone out there willing to trade some 366s for them.
