Dual Celeron 1100?

Post by Sicness »

hey,

i've been using my bp6 with 2x433@575mhz celerons for ages now, but i haven't really been into the bp6 cpu possibilities n stuff. my dad just brought me a broken machine from his office, obviously the mobo is dead.

the cpu is a celeron 1100 and of course my first idea was to get another one to use these two thingies in my bp6.

so i'm wondering if that'd be possible without any greater mods.

in case it's of any interest, here's the 1100's data:

01 costa rica
1100/128/100/1,75v
celeron sl5xu

thanks in advance!

no, this celeron (and any other than the ones you are using) will not run in SMP, no dual mode, no double power etc...

if you wanna run it on BP6, then you need Powerleap Neo S370 adapter (FCPGA->PPGA) and on top of it Upgradeware GU370 (FCPGA2->FCPGA) - then you could use two tualatin PIII-S with some mods done to mobo.

EASIER is you get powerleap NeoT adapter or something like that where it is ment for the celeron you have (FCPGA2->PPGA).

Good luck!
Dual C366@550MHz 1.90V :) (History)
yet single PIII-S 512Kb L2 cache at 1400MHz@700MHz
BP6 (not modded yet)
256MB PC133 C2
GF4Ti4200-8x
Maxtor 2x60Gb - all on promise ATA133
Lite-On LTR 40125S@48125W!!!
Plus P4 system

thanks for your help. ouch, didn't expect it to be impossible at all. i don't think i wanna use it then, i kept the bp6 for the dual cpu fun, i have way faster single cpu desktop systems ;)
