Motherboard monitor doesnt work right

Post by vgoraz »

Motherboard monitor lists all 0s for the temperatures of the computer for the cpus and case and such. It obviously isnt 0. The bios seems to read the correct calues (around 30some celcius under almost no load as its not really doing anything). it would be nice to get some real temp readings somehow so i can see how much more i can safely push these cpus (the 366s are at 466 right now with no perceptible problem). i installed motherboard monitor and had it run whatever is was as a service. hopefully somehow has some idea what i should do to fix this problem.
i tried reinstalling it a few times but that hasnt helped.
Sandra which i have run to stress test the computer listes 41C as the temperatures but neither temperature fluctuated at all through the different runs and tests so i dont know if those values were correct for it being under load. either way it was somehow was able to get a number so yeah i dont know whats going on

MBM 5 works on my board

Post by Luistervink »

Hello,

I have a bp6 with bios RU (just recent) Hpt366 update (recent) and win2k.

Before that it ran under NT 4.0 that was upgraded to SP6.

MBM 5 as developed bij Alexander van der Kaam works just fine.

Did you perhaps forget to set the apropriate Winbond sensor for the 3 different sensor in settings.

When you install MBM it does not automatically set up the sensors !
