Your time and effort are worth way more than the $25-30 it takes to get a Promise ATA100 card & retire the HPT366 to ROM drive to read-only duty.

The RU BIOS is good for Win2k, but I advise you use the one that comes up as v.1.25 in the tourquoise splash screen of the HPT366 load.
Then, you get the matching Win2K/WinXP driver v.1.25 on a floppy & load it when the OS prompts for 3rd party drivers.
There are newer drivers, v.1.28, v.1.30, maybe more. As long as you flash the BIOS with a v.1.25 or later HPT code & then use the MATCHING OS driver you should be OK.
