BP6+Win2k+Half-Life/CS, Soon... i'm going too kill myself!
I was going to suggest the Internet connection but I thought he would have mentioned something of the sort, slow downloads, etc. Waiting for a response Xzite.
Edit: Back in the day when I played CS, I also encountered this problem and it turned out to be a bad update that caused it.

Xzite,
If it's any consolation. my three sons have been playing Dungeon Seige alot for the last 6 weeks. They were doing a lot of multiplayer LAN over the home network on our (3) BP6 systems. Starting about 10 days ago, the multiplayer setup can no longer see any other BP6 as a game host. Same result no matter which of the (3) acts as the host. Lots of web posts about NAT TCp/IP scheme causing loss of ability to see hosts, but no clear answers. The NAT scheme worked fine for weeks - then dead. So annoying!
