snipre, rainman has some good points. However, if the caps issue is the cause, one good test to prove this is to remove one CPU & see if it works. If not remove the other CPU & see if it works.
On all three of my BP6 systems, one socket runs way more stable than the other socket. This is why I'm still at single P-iii/1100E@1.21Ghz instead of dual CPU. On each BP6, it would not boot with the P-III/1100E installed. When I switch to the other socket, I boots right up. Two work with socket #2 & one with socket #1.
So, if you have Dual CPUs, then give this a try. If it works, then you have to decide between Win2k/Single versus CPU power delivery upgrades (caps & regulator).
