Linux and fan control

i have lmsensors correctly installed (you will need to compile them), and this modules loaded (using modconf for example or modprobe + /etc/modules):

w83781d
i2c-isa

i control the fan speed through the proc interface, for example:

echo 200 > /proc/sys/dev/sensors/w83782d-isa-0290/pwm2

I have a feeling a friend of mine wrote a small program that controlled the fan speed with the temperature, I'll ask him for a copy when he gets back from holiday.
