HPT to Promise Blues
I have had good luck reinstalling WinXP on top of an existing installation & not loosing any data/programs at all. Just the H/W items/issues are re-detected/resolved & the old build is maintained. When I replaced my dead BP6 with an ACORP Dual P3 board - transferring over all the H/W - this worked fine. I did Ghost (clone) the drive onto a new drive first, just in case of a failure. This is the 3rd time I've done this successfully.
