frist hello to everybody. :?: can any one give me info on installing win xp pro.i have a copy of it with a s/n and will I need a activation key. from what i have been reading they limit how many times it is or can be loaded. and will i be able to download all the updates from microsoft ? want to know if it is worth the headache.i am running ME(giving me grief) and refuse to pay for another flawed os. 2nd question under upgrade report. sys devices it came up with "plug and play bios extension". how or do i have to fix.

We shouldn’t be talking about this, but what the hell!

*Derek Whispers:* You can choose not to activate your product on WinXP Pro. Once you’re in, install the service pack, and then update to a serial number that gives you access to Windows update. One thing we can’t do is post the keygens and hacks on BP6.Com ;)

I strongly suggest a clean install, forget about upgrading. Just backup everything and format away :mrgreen:

I’m going to be 100% truthful…

At first, I thought we lost you InactiveX… (ie. cuckoo)

But then, I delivered (to myself) a swift kick in the ass…
