Did you use BeOS?

Post by Cashran » Mon Jan 25, 2010 11:48 am

In the last century, i used this great OS for a couple of years - more or less.
The last year mainly on the BP6 of course, due to the BeOS' SMP support.
What about you? Did you use use BeOS and later Zeta and will you give Haiku more than a look?
Still (sometimes) in use:

Hi there Cashran,

I loved using BeOS on my BP6. So smooth and snappy, and a lovely simple GUI. I would still be using it as my main OS but for two things: lack of support for modern hardware, and no pro-level digital audio workstation (DAW) apps.

I tried to load Haiku Alpha 1 on my BP6 but couldn't get it to boot to the desktop. I will be trying future builds though!

Then why the hell not? It's great!
