Redhat 7.3 New to me, and Have no idea.

Post by Blueneko »

I just installed redhat 7.3 to my laptop, a presario 17XL, p3 700 256mb ram, and boy is it different than winblows, I was wondering if theres a learning guide or a walkthru on basic operations (System config, etc), cant find network settings, try to set up dial out connection, it is all too new to me!
:D

Hey, it installed without any problems too!

Ok well since I only installed redhat 7.3 one time, and it went on my laptop, I didnt use it for more than 2 hours and installed winblows xpee, Well I have my one bp6, and I was thinking on making it my lil linux beast.
SO time to learn linux somehow, right? Before I continue, do I need to get some drivers for a promise controller for my drive I plan on using?

Looks like you will need some drivers from Promise. Check out this link:

http://www.promise.com/search_display_e ... word=linux

It may depend on what Promise controller you are using. But then, newer versions of Linux distros may have some support built-in, now.
