USB not working

Post by Heinster »

I have put my bios on default settings (don't ask me why :( )... But with that I obviously resetted the usb setting and now my pc doesn't see my usb ports.... Somehow I just can't find the right option to turn it on.... Any suggestions?

Found the answer myself but I will post it to help the people who will encounter the same problem.

Solution - In the BIOS switch the multiprocessor setting MP 1.4x to MP 1.1

To be honest not the most obvious sollution

Just started working on getting a pair of 500's going on this board. I picked the board up with 1 processor for $20 so i figured what the hell.

Thanks for this post as it resolved my latest issue of getting the USB to work.

Now if I could just get it to look at all IDE Channels...sounds like this setup will make a nice lil home server running XP...everything going smooth but these 2 issues...any ideas?

Thanks all

Toybreaker: Please specify what works and what doesn't. You write:
if I could just get it to look at all IDE Channels...
What does that mean? Does it see some or none?
