PNY GeForce FX5500

My G400 dual hd 32 meg card died and I needed dual head functionality, the PNY card (FX5500 128 meg) was on sale at CompUSA for $79.00 USD so I grabbed one!

It's ok, but DO NOT use the latest driver release! (77.xxx) use 71.xxx or 72.xxx(I'm using 72.xxx). 77.XXX is buggier than cow dung that has been sitting in the sun for several days (It's been about 90 deg. F here for much of the summer so you get the idea  ).

Used it in my BP6 w/dual PIII's until the BP6 died a couple of weeks ago.

Now it resides in my Gigabyte dual PIII box.

Hercules Prophet 4500 (Kyro2 chipset) w. TV-out, 64MB, AGP slot +
dual voodoo2 (Diamond Monster 2 series) w. SLI cabel, 8MB each, 2 PCI slots

those voodoo2 are really great for ePSXemu...somehow the best fealing for speed is with that card...outstrips mine Prophet 4500 and GF2 MX400 on other computer (P3@800)...
but in games, Kyro2 really kicks in...all games work, till now (some are writen for ATi-nVidia cards, some need harware T&L, etc)
BP6 with 2x 533 (SL3PZ) Celerons,
768MB PC133 SDRAM &
inno 3D GeForce2 MX400 with TVout

I am presently using a PNY GeForce FX5500, 128 meg vid card with two ViewSonic 20" "Graphics" series monitors.

Works great and the price couldn't be beat!
