boot.ini settings for XP

Postby Rivo99 » Thu Jul 24, 2003 4:54 pm

I loaded XP on my BP6 without any issues. I had the only hard drive attached to IDE0. I got the bright idea to recable the hard drive to the HPT366 IDE port and give it a try. I did load the drivers for XP prior to doing this. Now when XP boots, I get to the XP Logo screen and it just hangs. I suspect this has something to do with boot.ini now???

Can someone help me with the correct settings for boot.ini.

Thanks!

Don't think it is the boot.ini file, as you are at the XP logo screen when it hangs. Are you trying to overclock? Some hard drives don't work well with the HPT366 controller. What hard drive are you using? What is the BIOS revision for the HPT366 controller when you see the HPT366 BIOS screen. What HPT366 driver revision are you using?
