The installation tooks a good 10 minutes. The new "security center" doesn't seem able to detect my norton antivirus and zonealarm (maybe it's a very slow detection). I just "turned off" the security center for stopping bugging me. The pop-up blocker in the IE should be handy for people who doesn't have a pop-up blocker app. Everything seems fine after SP2, I don't encounter any problem yet for P2P apps or gaming (doom3).
BP6 is the fun, u just can't stop it...

Definitely feels snappier.

I think I too will turn off the Security Centre nonsense.

Microsoft Outlook 2003 + Personal Folders Backup Add-On

Post by Derek »

After installing SP2, Outlook 2003 started to act up. When I closed the program, the process continued to live and I had to manually kill it from the task manager. I found out that it was the Personal Folders Backup add-on that was causing the problems and reinstalled it. Since then I haven't discovered any other problems.

Maybe I spoke too soon :|

Now I get a crash dialog box after closing Outlook 2003. I guess Microsoft will have to look into their backup script.

Interestingly enough, if I reinstall the script it will work once, but the next time I open Outlook it crashes on exit.

Oh joy! :)
