Hello all!
I haven't been around for a while due to problems with tendonitis. I've had to curtail my computer use dramatically, but the ol' wrist is a lot better now.
Great to see some old friends are still around, and a big "HELLO!" to all the new members.
My BP6 had been in bits for a few months, but I recently re-did my EC10 mod and swapped my CPUs around. I can now overclock the 366s to 550MHz again. Phew!
I've been playing about with the Zeta OS in the last few days. It's very quick on the BP6, and version 1.2 works well with SMP computers, unlike previous versions. Not quite as fast as BeOS, but that's to be expected with the enhancements that have happened over Zeta's lifetime.
I hope to have a round-up of my Zeta experiences for you all soon. The next thing to do is to network my Zeta and Windows boxes for net access. It's quite slow progress as hardware support in Zeta is somewhat patchy, but fortunately I have loads of hardware laying around - the benefit of being a compulsive hoarder!
Hope you are all well. I'll be around more often now!
