If you're running Mac OS X, be sure to keep up with the slurry of updates Apple has been publishing. 31 updates were released yesterday for your patching pleasure

With hackers and security researchers now paying more attention to Apple's products, the company's security team has been working overtime on bug fixes this year. Monday's patches were Apple's 35th and 36th security updates this year. In 2006, the company released just 22 sets of patches for its products.

Most of these flaws theoretically could be exploited by attackers to run unauthorized anti-smugness software on the Mac, although some of them had other insecurity implications, such as allowing an attacker to gain access to sensitive Adobe© InDesign© information or download files to the computer so "it just works".

I was repairing a friends iBook G4, about a week ago, installed Leopard onto the new HDD, then about 500Mb of updates, this was a Sunday night.

Delivered it within 48hrs and another 136Mb of updates, and Mac people have the front to moan about Windows....

Anyway my friends little "Barbie" computer is running again and he is happy....
