Bernard is putting ThermalTake’s RAM Heat Sinks to use in a way I’m sure most have not though of. I think you should look at this picture:
He put heat sinks on all the voltage regulators! Now his VTT voltage goes from 1.50 to 1.53 instead of 1.47 to 1.52Volts (I think all BP6 owners know of our long battle with voltage stability in this area).
Here’s a snip from the email he sent:
I’ve fixed a problem with my BP6's VTT voltage (It was going from 1.47-1.52 v, now it’s only
1.50-1.53) with a heatsink on each regulator. It seems that the vtt reg. gets too warm causing the voltage swing. Since then I have put heatsinks on all the reg.'s.
I guess I'll go by some more RAM Sinks =)
