Re: Question about XP Media Center Edition 2005

My boss just bought me a Gateway 2.8 Pentium "D" machine, 1 gig of RAM, dual layer burner, etc., etc. Nice box :D ! In Task Manager, shows "dual" (dual core) cpu's. My question is this, can I "upgrade" my BP6 with this version of XP and will it "see" true dual cpu's? Regards, jaybird open task mana...

Re: What's Wrong with my video card?

I've been having one isolated problem with my Rage Fury. In Grand theft auto: Vice City, after playing for a while i sometimes notice weird blue blobs on the textures. Because i think it is a heat issue, I've put a Pentium Heatsink onto the GPU and it's on as properly as it can be, because there ar...

why don't you get the WATERBLOCKS for S370, and connect compressor directly to the CPUs?! that would work, and it will keep the CPU temp down...but how will you regulate the compressor, that is another question?! maybe with some temp regulator?!

well the BE6 board won't go over the 112MHz for BOOTing...the P3 with 133FSB worked only on 112FSB on it! they fixed that a little on BE6-II, and got a better regulation of the board... but the BF6 board has got FSB speeds: 66, 68(turbo), 72, 75, 83, from 84 to 200 by 1MHz!!! so it would be the best...

I had exactly one of that Celeron II 700/66 on BE6 board from Abit...a nice SLOT1 slot with BX440 chipset...they are OK, and you can get them high enough if you want it...mine was stable as 700@1050/100!!! :D :D :D :D :D and it would go over that, 'cause those Coopermines didn't goover 1,1GHz (1,13G...

I haven't even put an OS on it yet, so I don't know what speed it will realistically run at, but I am surprised at how high it will POST. That being said, one of the procs dropped at 600 or so, but the other one keeps taking the abuse ;). that might be the power suplly...but just up the voltage!!! ...

It optimizes boot time and does a really good job. You really notice it's work if your windows has lots of startup programs and just seems to take a ...

also, the RAM is specified for example: as CAS2 for speed PC100, that is 100MHz and CAS3 for speed PC133, which is 133MHz...all of us use FSB till 100MHz, rarelly on BP6 it's more than that...and if yours SDRAM is specified as the one i mentioned, you can put it on CAS2 without any problem... if you...

They usually end up running at full speed anyways. If you were to build a solution with a temperature controlled fan that would wor...
