Hmmm....have tried all PCI slots now.. same thing..... SATA card bios loads fine, htp bios loads fine, but then boot stalls after listing PCI devices and successfully updating ESCD and verifying pool data ..... It makes no difference if I chose EXT=SCSI or EXT=UDMA It can't be right that I can't use...

Tried replacing the BIOS chip with the chip from my old caps-dead BP6...same thing!!! How the hell can that shit happen like that? I mean, if BIOS got screwed, shouldn't replacing the BIOS chip make the mobo boot again? Can't believe the stream of bad pc karma I have experienced lately.. sick how it...

Ok, new problem arrived. Just tried to update BIOS (to bp6rvhpt130b), flash went fine, first reboot was fine, I chose "load setup defaults", reboot and then nada... black screen.... tried resetting CMOS, did not help... What can I do? I used these switches when falshing... hope they are not the caus...

Have written Abit again, asking for replacements for these as well, will see what they say...

Hmmm well... two of the caps, at the bottom side of the CPU socket are tilting slightly...but think they have always been that way... Have not been pushing them around as far as I know..

it is quite new, and cleaned (put in a pabst 12db and cleaned it well) and besides, tried another PSU as well...
All componets do get power, so unfortunately don't hink it is as simple as a faulty PSU...if only..

Don't think it is the PSU..recently put in a newish 300W PSU and also tried with another PSU..same deal...

Hey all... been using my beloved old BP6 as ftp server and storage for ages....went on vacation a few weeks back and uplugged all pcs from power. When I came back, BP6 won't post... I start it up and nada.... then after 10-15 seconds a short beep...10 secs another short beep.... Tried to reboot and ...
