Although the BeOS seems dead, it really is not. It still has a future.
I installed BeOS 5 once on the BP6 and it worked like a charm...
If you don't know what to do with your (old and obsolete ) BP6, give it a try!

System runs quite stable, but will lock-up once in a while for no apparent reason. Or it maybe the RC5-client that is running since januari 2000
