Just lost a 22day uptime on my bp6 to update one of my drives, I nearly left it untill I had to reboot next, but then decided other wise because it would be sods law if I left it my drive would die in the next day or two.

I think the easyest answer to this is.... try it your self. If you have both the computers/ or will have, then just build them up and try them, maybe use the same hardware in each to make it fair and use it a few months, then swap.

Yeah it does?
It controls it in relation to the temperature of the chips.
It can also change your bus speed depending on the temperature of the chips.

Caps

Hi I live in the UK and am finding it hard to find a supplier for the following capacitors: -
1500uF 6.3V Electrolytic

I have managed to find some 1000uF 16V caps I also need on RS Components, but cannot find the above caps any where, can any one help me with this?

Just throwing an idea about.

Do you actually have to be connected to the internet to install SP3, i.e. can you download the hole thing, unplug your lan/modem and then install?
Or will it just wait untill you go back online and send the info then?

MBM

It sounds as if somthing still is not setup propperly.
As for the shutting down when alarm sounds, you need an extra pice of software altho I cant remember its name at the moment, but I will post it as soon as I remember.

Off topic stuf

I think that there should be an off topic area, but I would say yes to both of the options in the poll and also other things like hobbies...biking sailing etc...

You could always just make a forum for all off topic things and just let people post any thing in there that do not fint any where else.
