Yeah, and ThermalTake's stuff is not too well made in my experience. I had a Blue Orb on my BX northbridge and it was awful. I took it off and lapped it, then put it on my GPU. A GlobalWin LAC08 then went on the northbridge. I've got GlobalWin FEP-32Ms on my BP6 Celerons. No modding needed. Look a b...

Please read the whole article (my first post). Anyway thank you for your interest. ales: I think you would get more people to look at your post if you separated it up into paragraphs. What you've written looks very monolithic and unreadable, and more folks will look at it if you break it up a bit. ...

I'm Still Here!

Hello all! I haven't been around for a while due to problems with tendonitis. I've had to curtail my computer use dramatically, but the ol' wrist is a lot better now. Great to see some old friends are still around, and a big "HELLO!" to all the new members. My BP6 had been in bits for a few months, ...

Eh? I was only messing around and playing the pedant. Not sure what you were implying. Please don't be offended by me in any way. I was simply pointing out that Degrees Fahrenheit isn't an American measurement. Perhaps I shouldn't have done it in such a flippant way, but I did mark it with a smiley....

Quite often over-clockers will "lap" the CPU using various grades of wet sandpaper. You should be able to find good information on this in this as well as many other "overclocking" forums. Have a peek at Derek's KB article here . OBTW, IMHO the BX chip set ALWAYS benefits from some form of active c...

There are no guarantees with overclocking, so you may simply be unlucky.

If you suspect that your PSU is not quite what it could be, a better PSU may give you the results you want.

What sort of cooling are you using on the Celeron? Do you have any thermal compound between the heatsink and the CPU?
