I hope this is in the right spot......
Ok, so I slapped one of my BP6's togather for my bro, we went to Worst Buy and got some ram for it.
Now, he is on his third stick, I told him to run memtest on the ram first thing this time to make sure the ram isn't FUBAR from the start.
All the voltages are normal, he is a cheap b***ard so he only has a 4 gig HDD, an old PCI vid card, and a NIC installed in the mobo.
So, what are the chances the mobo is killing the ram and nothing else?????
Oh ya, all the cap's look fine too.......
BP6 killing ram??!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?

If you bought the sticks together, it might be a bad batch.
BTW, haven't seen you around for a while. You OK?

The ram was purchased seperatly, it would run ok for a short while then fubar the os, then it would get to the point where you couldn't even install the OS.
It would run for about a week, then go tits up, thats why I thought maybe the mobo was killing the ram, but I never had an issue with it when I ran it.
He has an ANTEC 300 WATT PSU, and he is only running 1 CPU so the PSU should be more then sufficent.
BTW, all is good here, just havent posted as much as I used to......

Have you checked the RAM in another mobo?

Not yet, if this one turnes up bad I can check it in my Tyan board.
But, he said when he went to Worst Buy to exchange it for the third time, they said they have had a lot of them come back.
So perhaps they had a bad batch in there........
I surley hope so.........
Thanx for the help though X.......

Have you checked for bad capacitors?
