New user who don't know what to put on his BP6. Please help.

Post by Florek »

Hi. I'm new here. I want to tune my BP6, but I don't know what processors I should put on my BP6. I was looking for PIII 1100Mhz E but I couldn't find any. What is the alternative to the PIII processors??? Now I've got 2xCel 466Mhz. I've tried to go higher wih the FSB but when reaching FSB 82 (550Mhz) I had a HDD crash? What should I do to overclock my processors without any disk failures? Please help me.

PS: Sorry for my english.

Check the internet deals forum & call Que Computers - they had (15) last week. There are at least (2) P-III/1100E/256K/100/1.75V chips on E-Bay right now. Just search from the home page for => 1.1GHz
You will get some P-III hits for sure.
*** I just noticed that you are based in Poland, so not so easy to use E-Bay. The Cele2/1100/128K/1.65V chips are OK to overclock up to 110MHz=>1.21GHz SIngle CPU only (no SMP). These are cheap & easier to locate. You still need a NEO-370 socket adapter, or you must do the soldering mods of the BP6 for the Cele2.
