Hi!
I bought two neo370 and two p3 700/100 with stepping cB0 and SL45Y series.
I did the PowerLeap MOD's. And tried to start bp6 in smp mode. No post.
Single proc either in socket 1 or 2 is working on fsb 100 stable.
DO I have to do Yoitchiro mods to start it with SMP mode?
Can anyone tell me if these p3's are good for bp6 smp?
I have 2x p3 700/100 SL45Y cB0
I can buy 2x p3 800/100 SL4CE cC0
Is the ECC ram required for p3 smp? Celerons run fine with normal SDRAMs.
neo + dual p3 700 help!
dual 700's
Those PIII's should work just fine.
However, using PIII's on a BP6 is a bit of a crap-shoot. Sometimes it works and some times it don't!
I have been very lucky, Dual PIII 1100E's @ 110 mhz fsb.
I do have another board that won't do squat with dual PIII's but loves my 366's @ 110 (605 mhz).
You will at a minimum have to change out EC10 and the regulator.
Active cooling on the BX chip set is a MUST! I cannot stress this enough!
What version BP6 do you have? Are there plastic arms on the ZIF sockets or metal?
I will try to help if I can.
