Adaptec AHA1542B seems to cause trouble

Post by Wolfram »

...installed one to temporarily replace the Scanner SCSI card. Windows 2000 hung on boot (AHA1542B default jumper settings, IRQ11). Did not do any further research about it, but since this never happened before on installing a new component (regardless if ISA or PCI), I suspect this might be a problematic component.
