I have recently got my BP6 back as a desktop machine, as it was being used as a file server before, I had a think for a while about which Os to use on it, and came to the conclusion I would give BeOS a spin.
Install went great, but when it booted in to the Os there was no colour. I think this is just due to the old graphics card I have in the machine not having drivers, its a Trident 9440 or something like that.
But other than that it worked, took me a while to work out where every thing was again.
I might try and get my Voodoo card back off my brother to use in it.
So tonight I will add a better graphics card and add a sound card and try using it for some real stuff.
Might even give it a bash on my main machine.
Ill keep you all posted on how it goes...
David
Installed BeOS again last night.
Checking at the Frizbe Hardware Matrix, it seems Trident is poorly supported in BeOS. However, the Voodoo cards have much better support.
