hay guys i just got a great bargin on one of these boards on ebay got it for £16 including the postage
it has 2 x 466 celerons instaled
which i plan to overclock to 550
ive upgraded the bios to the latest rv version on your forum with the hightpoint 1.30 support
ive got a udma 100 pci card to add into it and 2 x 250 gig drives and 1 x 160 gig drive all western digital
im planing to use this as a fileserver
ive put it in a brand new case with a 500watt power supply and it looks the nuts
just installing xp pro on it atm then will come the overclocking
i will let you all know how it goes and post some pics at some point
i intend to get more of these boards
also i have found in my colection of spares i have 2 x celeron 700's
700/128/66/1.7
am i going to need some sort of converter "FCPGA" to use them on this board

did you start at 466 ?
what cpu voltages are you using .....
I'd start at 466 @ 66 and use 1.85-1.90v
then move up slowly to 72, then 75, then 78
the ppga celerons will work ok at 72 @ 2.00v
as long as the room is cool at 75
and serious cooling past 78
you need to up the voltages if it won't boot properly
more voltage, more heat, better cooling ....
make sure you've got pc100 or pc133 ram
pc66 ram won't clock of course.

Stable @ 533
yep i started with everything default , i installed xp pro
then i started to increase the fsb until it locked at 550 then i droped it a little and increased the cpu voltage and thats where its at now
ive had it running overnight now clocked at 533 fsb = 78mhz
both cpus's running at 2.05V
it really moves at this speed
im quite impresed , considering im useing the origonal heatsink and fans
and ive not made any mods to the bp6 board its self other than a bios update
in bios tmps are cpu1 = 41C cpu2 = 41C
im happy with that
ive just added a realtec 1gb network card and im gonna add a udma 100 card today and get the rest of my drives in
will keep you all informed

no fun ... droped to 500mhz
after my last post the machine decided it no longer wanted to run @533 blue screeend during boot
so ive droped it to 500mhz fsb at 74 voltage still at 2.05v
whats gonna be the best settings to get more out of these 466chips
better heatsink and fans on the way

thoughts an suggestions
Sad to say, 466's don't really over-clock the best. Try to find a couple of 366's, almost a given, 550 @ 100mhz fsb. I am presently running 366's @ 581 Mhz stable in win2k pro on the internet, 594 when off line and will boot into windows @ 605 (110 fsb).
I have matched and lapped sets of: 366's, 400's, 433's, 466's, 500's and 533's. The best and most stable, with out board mods are the 366's.
I presently have 2 BP6's modified to run PIII's, one running 1100E PIII"s @ 108 fsb. (1100/256/100/1.75V cpu's)
You cannot run 700 Celeron's dual, PERIOD!
You need MORE COOLING, period! Also, install a small fan on your BX chip set, you will be suprised at what you can do with this board!
Present BP6 w/dual 366 configuration:
2 366's @ 106 FSB stable
dual-boot win98se/win2k pro sp 4
768 meg pc133 ram
1, 40 gig seagate 7200rpm hdd for os's (ide-0)
1, 60 gig maxtor 7200rpm hdd for video editing (ide-1)
HTP 128 bios w/125 drivers, stable
pny geforce fx5500 128 meg dual head vid card
chaintek 7.1 surround sound audio card
dtt2500 5.1 surround sound 500 watt sound system
adaptec scsii card for microtek x6el scanner
pinnacle studio delux 8.0 w/breakout box editing system and video cap- card
3com isa nic
"best.com" usb 56k modem (yeah, I know, dial-up )
lite-on 52x-24x-52x 'burner
panasonic dvd-rw/ram 'burner
pioneer s104 dvd player
kenwood "zen" 52x-true-x mulit-beam cd-rom drive
dual 20" viewsonic graphics series monitors
canon i900d photo printer
hp lazerjet 5L printer
am able to capture @ 720x480 and compress on the fly without even breaking a sweat!
Above basic system in place since 1999 (w/vid & sound the only major up-grades), tried a gigabyte dual PIII mobo (via apollo 133 pro chip set) several years ago, couldn't touch the above setup for capture and stability.
am building an iwill dvd266-r based system, dual PIII 1.4 cpu's, 2 gig pc2100 ram. got board, cpu's and ram on ebay (different auctions) for under $150 usd!
I will be stripping out above system to complete the iwill rig and building the bp6 w/366's for my grandaughter.
regards,
jaybird

ive added more cooling
added a coolermaster fan to the chipset heatsink
ripped it of an old p2 slot processor fits a treat and has
the right conecter on it to plug directly into the motherboard
also added another case fan in the front of the case to improve air flow and help reduce the heat from the hard drives
its all runing peachy atm

Reality aint what it used to be
headspirit,
My guess is the BSOD you told us about was not related to the CPUs but everything else on the board being over clocked.
If you get 366s its almost a guarantee you can run 100FSB which will put everything at its rated speed but the CPUs which will be running 50% faster. You will like the preformance. Make sure you get your ram set to CL2 for now and when you get the 366s change it to CL3. ECC should be disabled.
Good luck

There are *almost* no bad BP6s. There are mostly bad caps.
No BP6s remaining
Athlon 2800
Sempron 2000
ViaCPU laptop with Vista.(Works great after bumping ram to 2Gig)

that bsod death was the only one ive had since setting the board up
since then ive improved the cooling as you can see in the gallery
its not had a single fault since
lol apart from when i used the bp6fsb tool and ramed it upto 88 fsb
it just restarted .. no blue screen
im still looking out for some 366's and more bp6 boards
thanks for your advice
