Wow Its been a while

Wow. Its been a while since I have come to the cpu forum. I have a Bp running the traditional 366@500 for my web server. It has been a stable machine since day 1. I just got through building my son a new AMD single system and I have inherited his BPer. I see that the folks here are running them at 1.1Ghz!!! That's Great!!! I have done the mods before for the Voltage and cap fixes. I have a Novell server for a client running dual 800's and a Compaq 3200 in raid 5 that is just like a rock. Its SOLID. I brought it up over a year ago and its never even burped. I have a couple of Samba servers running the same way. They never give up!!!

That being said I am going to start looking for some 1.0-1.1 Ghz p3's and get busy. I would love to see what a Slackware load on a hot rod BPer can do(running SCSI of course).

That is very cool. I think I'll stick with My Neo's since I preordered a dozen many many moons ago. I have 2 left and I think I'll look for a pair of 1 gig cpus. I have an alterier motive though. I want to put this BPer on a 160Mhz SCSI drive, fill it with 133Mhz ram, and run some tests to see how well it will perform against my Tyan 230T with the same setup. Only difference will be the Tyans 133 mhz FSB. I don't know if the BPer will clock that high.(I seriously doubt it) I am courious though, as these boards are a generation apart.

133MHz IIRC. Stock Celeron 366MHz CPUs. Wish he was still around.

Just talked to Holodeck2 and confirmed he did infact have a BP6 running at 133MHz...

I asked him what his cooling setup was:

Respect to the man.

A 200% OC is a great achievement.

College has sucked him away from us, but hopefully he'll have some time to browse the site :)
