gonna be starting a water cooling project on my BP6. found some ThermalTake waterblocks that are right at the same base size as the Glabal Wins, just have to make a mount for them. and a northbridge block that looks to mount perfectly. ill just have to figure out how to cool two processors without heating the second {thinking "Y" connectors}.

might take a while to build but ill keep a log and hopefully pics to.

$60 +s/h at TigerDirect.com for CPU. and $50 for north bridge at scorptec.com

though i found some Koolance blocks that are the same size and have an application for the coppermine for around the same price. ill see if i cant get a link up for them later.

ok been updating my plans on this system so here we go

Koolance cpu waterblocks and have socket 370 clips included {Score}

Koolance NorthBridge block

Koolance Pump and Res

ThermalTake Rad/Fan {120mm fan 39~93cfm}

tubing is something ill decide at ordering time, and going Blue UV coolant.

thoughts anyone? Suggestions? or a "hey you suck"?

why don't you use the big aquarium or just a big plastic barrel for the cooling? that will be enough...and the pump you use can be fitted with 110V/220V - that don't consume your PSU power! :D

also, are those TT radiator/fan TC or with the resistor?

the TT fan on their rads are Rheostat controlled, fits in an open pci slot.

im going for a case mounted setup that wont take up more room than the case {give or take a few inches}

the pump/res im gonna use has tmermal controls for your fans {3pin} and has temp sensors in the water and a few that you put on your board/waterblocks. plus what really sold me on it was the abilty to shut down your comp if temp hits a certain level {adjustable, default is 60C}.

or if you just want a thermal controled fan the ThermalTake Smart Fans can run 100%, rheostat, or thermal. the 80mm {linked above} max out at 75.70CFM@48dB
the 120mm are like 90CFM.

that is nice...

but i'm going for the external 60liters plastic tank, with AC pump with several settings...'cause it will coll down not one, but 3-4 computers in my room!

that is why i ask now and gather data...'cause the rad/fan has to be controlled by thermal resistor...but those TT SF would work fine!

pelts would be nice.

but this project is now put on hold, my main machine decided it was time to burn its self down. 3.0Ghz Cedar Mill and an Intel D945GCL mobo gone. Everything else seems to survive so thats a plus i guess but still a bummer.

What happened to that Intel board? I support a bunch of them at work...and am uneasily curious.
There are *almost* no bad BP6s. There are mostly bad caps.

ok small update to thsi long drawn out project of mine {time is hard to get for this}. got a Antec 900 case for my system today and installed the current setup. this case droped my system/hdd temp by about 5~7C {idle and loaded}.

also got 2 60mm to 80mm adapters to run 2 TT 80mm smartfans on the Global Wins. currently running them at 50% speed and same cooling effect as the 60mm at 100%.

ill have pics later as im just to tired to take them right now.

ok here are the images i have at current
