First thing to check is your BIOS revision: Is it up to RU?

how do i find out for sure?

When the computer posts (the screen where it says "Press DEL to Enter Setup") there will be a serial number at the bottom left of the screen. Instead of pressing DEL to enter setup, press the "Pause/Break" button on your keyboard to halt the boot process, this will give you time to inspect the screen and retrieve your revision from the string at the bottom left (the revision is the last two letters of the string).
