Are you still not submerged?...
Hey!
3M have just presented their new invention:

what do you think about submerging ALL the system which includes nonmoving parts and then chilling it ALL?
check the foto!

Quote from The RegisterThe UK's advertising watchdog has banned a Creative Labs ad over fears that it could encourage people to electrocute themselves.
Creative Labs Europe ran an ad for its SoundBlaster audio product featuring a woman in a bath using a laptop hooked up to a pair of speakers. Under the headline "Immerse Yourself - In Sound" the ad suggested that people looking to chill-out could "Turn your notebook, or desktop PC, into an audio entertainment centre for music, movies and gaming...".
Snag is, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received a complaint which pointed out that the ad was "irresponsible because it encouraged a dangerous practice". Creative disagreed, saying that it did not intend to encourage anyone to act so foolishly.
The ad was "not meant to be a 'real life' representation but a "metaphor for acoustic 'immersion', a term used by PC gamers to describe the experience of surround sound technology".
The use of laptops in the bath was not dangerous because they were battery-powered, low-voltage devices. And even if mains electricity was used, the voltage would be stepped down to battery-levels, Creative said.
This wasn't enough to sway the ASA, which was worried that people might get the wrong idea and think its OK to use electrical gear in the bath. So it upheld the complaint, ruling that the ad "could encourage readers to emulate a dangerous practice" and told Creative not to do it again. ®

What they going to say when they see 3M's invention?
yeah, they talk it is not harmful, but untill it reaches the certain concentration. they make it at the lower concentration, so it is safe

I would encase it in aluminum/copper tight-fit case, connect extention cables and would seal with silicon.
I think no damage would be done as long as it does not go somewhere near the condensation point and if it is totally waterproof. otherwise, I would just seal the cables with silicon - and you would have the box full of cables out

I would enclose it in copper/aluminum, tight-fit, waterproof case with cable extensors sealed with silicon or alike.
would matter only if it would be reaching low level and subzero temps where the remnants of moisture inside HDD would condense...

been there done that, well a dip in alcohol, isopropyl not tequila, after the cooling system exploded on it. So technically I’ve submerged my board twice
I've tried mineral oil on a different board before, the cooling wasn't that great. so this dry water thing probility won't give you that big of a preformance boost, use it mainly as bragging rights
